FAQ

  1. What are your fees?
1.25% down to .7% based on AUM
  2. What is the minimum investment?
    $500K
  3. Who is your typical client?
Business Owner, Business Professional, Retiree, Attorney, Doctor, Divorcee, Professional Athlete/Celebrity
  4. What is your investment management philosophy?

    B

Below Average Expenses. I’m always looking for managers who charge less. Lower expenses have a direct correlation to better investment performance. Certain managers bring so much alpha that we MAY choose to pay a little more, but this is a conscious decision.

    L

Long Term Record. I look for managers with a strong, consistent, long- term record. I look for top performance consistently over at least a 5 year period. Sometimes a well known manager opens a new fund, in which case I may make an exception.

    I

In the Trenches Management. I am attracted to managers who are experienced & have seen a number of market cycles. I regard with healthy cynicism the 30 year-old Harvard whiz kid.

    S

Strategy. I am a believer in Modern Portfolio Theory…with tactical enhancements.

    S

Suitable for My Clients’ Objectives. This criterion is obviously a part of everyone’s selection process, and it is a critical compliance requirement. Just as a pilot runs through his checklist before every flight, I review suitability as it pertains to each of my clients.

    S

Stewards Over My Clients’ Assets. I have found that the most shareholder friendly companies have delivered superior returns & honest assessments of investment performance year in and year out. I find their candid reports to be refreshing and a great tool in communications with clients, particularly in down markets. Just as clients invest with me primarily because they trust me, I feel a lot more comfortable investing with companies I trust.

  5. How frequently do you review my investments and portfolio?
Investments are reviewed and monitored on a daily basis. Should there be a mutual fund manager change or peer under-performance, we will make recommended changes. Portfolios are reviewed every quarter with annual management reviews once per year.
  6. Will I be consulted before making trades in my account?
We do have discretionary authority on our managed accounts. We also spend a great deal of effort and time to explain each recommended investment. At a client’s request, we will not make any trades without his/her written consent.
  7. How often will you meet with me?
Each quarter my assistant Glori will phone you to let you know quarterly reports are on the way. If I feel we need to meet and discuss something, Glori will request a meeting. Otherwise, Glori will offer a meeting in the event you have questions.
  8. Can I review my account online?
    Yes
  9. What other services do you provide?
    See our Services page
